Real Piano Songs in Minutes—not Months

Kids care about the moment when their own fingers begin playing a song they recognize. I built Kids Piano to make that moment happen quickly—with guided lessons, easy-to-read Exact Notes music, and a full pathway that keeps growing with them.

The best start is hearing real music right away

After more than two decades teaching children, I have seen the same thing again and again: kids light up when their own fingers make a song they know.

Exact Notes removes the long waiting period. Beginners can play first, feel successful, and build stronger reading skills as they grow. Kids Piano carries that confident beginning through 30 guided levels and 100 favorite songs—from “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” to Beethoven’s “Moonlight Sonata” and “Für Elise.”

30 guided levels

Each level creates a clear musical win, then adds just enough to keep children curious, capable, and moving forward.

100 favorite songs

Children hear familiar music coming from their own hands—the part of learning an instrument that matters most to them.

Play first. Read more as they grow.

Our patented easy-to-read system gives beginners a confident starting point, then steadily expands their reading as the music becomes more advanced.

Let your child play five real songs

I’ll guide your child through the first five songs from the real Kids Piano course—one song a day, or as quickly as they want to go.

They’ll begin with “Hot Cross Buns,” add “The BOOM Song,” “We Will BOCK You,” “Snake Charmer,” and “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star,” then finish with a five-song mini-concert.

The Exact Notes Philosophy

Fun happens at the right level of challenge

Not enough challenge becomes boring... but too much challenge is demotivating. Kids Piano helps give students choices in the type of notes they read and the pace and difficulty of the music they play, helping every student work at a level that feels achievable and motivating.

Confidence before complexity

We start most young beginners with our kid-friendly, easy-to-read sheet music in letters, where even complex songs feel approachable. As confidence grows, students add standard notation, theory, technique, and greater musical independence.

Short, frequent learning sessions

Short, hands-on video lessons fit young attention spans, initiate new learning between classes, and give incredible structure to daily practice. Plus, several small learning sessions during the week help children remember more than relying on one long lesson alone.

Mastery instead of calendar pace

Students move through 30 levels as skills become comfortable—not simply because another week has passed, which leaves no chance for a student to get left behind. The goal is confident playing, not racing through material before it makes sense.

Music is better when it is social

When given the choice, most kids say they prefer to learn in a group environment together with other kids, turning our music classes into a shared semi-social activity instead of an isolated environment.

A Clear Musical Journey

From first notes to music children are proud to play

The 30-level sequence begins with familiar beginner songs and gradually introduces stronger reading, two-hand coordination, expression, chords, and classical favorites.

1. First notes

“Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” and “Hot Cross Buns” introduce keyboard geography, steady rhythm, and the satisfaction of playing a recognizable song.

2. Familiar favorites

“Baby Shark” and “Jingle Bells” strengthen reading and coordination while keeping practice connected to music children already know and are excited to perform!

3. Musical expression

Pieces like Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy” help students shape phrases, listen carefully, and begin making musical choices beyond simply finding the correct keys.

4. Deeper coordination

Beethoven’s “Moonlight Sonata” introduces richer textures and coordination as students grow into more sophisticated musical challenges.

5. A classical milestone

Beethoven’s “Für Elise” gives developing students an exciting goal and a piece they can be proud to share with family and friends.

Why Families Choose Live

Weekly guidance makes self-paced learning more powerful

Kids Piano uses a flipped-classroom approach: children learn and practice new material in short lessons at home, then use live class time for feedback, refinement, questions, encouragement, and playing together.

Five students or fewer

Small classes provide ample room for individual feedback with the advantages of a low pressure learning environment that helps students enjoy years of steady learning and growth .

Practice with a professional teacher present

Students can try out new and developing skills during class, ask questions, and receive real-time practice tips and corrections before small mistakes become frustrating habits.

Motivation through community

Seeing other children share similar learning experiences makes both experience both challenges and successes feel normal, social, and achievable.
