Zach Tolan has taught since 2002 and led more than 60,000 lessons and classes. His advanced work joins practical score reading with original research into musical symbolism in Bach and Beethoven.
The aim is not to hand students a fixed decoding key. It is to teach them what to observe, how to compare patterns, how to place evidence in context, and how to remain open to revision.
